Every year around this time I have to take a breather.
More often than not, it’s because I’m tired from the year.
This year was no different. It doesn’t mean I’m going to not work.
It simply means that like great athletes that need to be on the court–I’m going to rest while I’m on the court.
You pick and choose your spots and pick and choose your time and rest more than you would normally.
One of the things that I’ve read and know first hand is if you don’t take time to rest when you see the signs, they will overtake you and force you to rest. So it’s better to rest under control than to be forced to rest from illness or pure exhaustion. I was reminded of this as I relistened to Essentialism.
