Over the past month or so, I’ve been reading and listening (on repeat) Chase the Lion: If Your Dream Doesn’t Scare You It’s Too Small. The book along with a coaching session has been a reminder to me that it’s time to hit the reset button and refocus my goals, dreams and aspirations. In order for me to hit these ambitious goals that I’m resetting, it will require me to change and evolve. I simply can’t do what I did yesterday. It’s time to change. Being in business 4 years, I’ve had to grow and develop into one person that was necessary for the business to survive. However, in order to thrive, I have to change many of my habits and evolve the business. It’s imperative for the business to go to the next level. I must tap into my creativity to take things to the next level. In order for the business to thrive and for me to thrive, I have to shut the door on my old routines and my old habits. It’s not that they are bad. They are actually extremely valuable and still will be a part of who I am and what I do from a day-to-day basis. However, they miss out on providing the creative space that is necessary for thriving. I’ve come in contact with a few messages from coaches that have reminded me of this concept of space and it being necessary. I’m so obsessed with filling in gaps that often I forget that by jam packing my day or my responsibilities, I am not providing an opportunity for the “new” to enter. It’s a completely different paradigm that I’m seeking and hoping to create. It’s not about competition but about creating. Every year I have a motto and closing out the 4th quarter with 2018 in my peripheral, I am wondering if this might be my theme for 2018.
